Week 34 Summary of route trends about Tianjin Safround Logistics

2025.08.21
  1. Freight rates on the North-South America route continue to decline slightly. All routes are open for orders, primarily for small-lot cargoes. Large-volume cargoes can be negotiated individually.
  2. Freight rates on the Europe-Pacific route continued to decline in late August, with demand for cargo across the market. Multiple containers can be requested at an additional price. For shipments near Jinhua, please consider the Suxi CCA model. The demand trend is expected to continue until early September, so please continue to monitor freight rates. Currently, there are few blank sailings announced for September. There are still many delays in sailing departures in the near future, so please monitor individual vessel departure information. There may be varying degrees of congestion at the destination port, resulting in delays in docking and transit.
  3. Due to empty sailings and overbooking by shipowners, fresh cargo space will be scarce on the Middle East route next week, and freight rates are expected to rise significantly. Direct cargo space on the Red Sea route is relatively limited recently, and freight rates are expected to continue to rise. For cargo on this route, it is recommended to book cargo space as soon as possible, and confirmation is required before booking.
  4. Freight rates in the India-Pakistan market will continue to rise at the end of August, and cargo space will be very tight. Book cargo space as soon as possible, as it will be difficult to find small, heavy containers. Due to port congestion at the destination port, prices on the Bangladesh route will begin to rise at the end of August. Textiles are prioritized, so please book cargo space as soon as possible. Yiwu Suxi CCA cargo is also prioritized, and can be discussed separately. 5. Southeast Asia: Thailand and the Philippines will continue to be heavily in-demand for next week. Some routes are expected to see price increases at the end of the month, especially on routes to Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia, where space is tight. Freight rates on Australia and New Zealand routes will remain largely unchanged at the end of the month, with limited space available. Yiwu-Suxi sea-rail is also a major priority, and anyone with cargo can apply for a rate.
  5. Africa: CMA vessels will not call Ningbo next week in East Africa, significantly reducing overall market capacity. Coupled with the high number of container abandonments this week, several shipping lines have announced temporary price increases. South African freight rates remain stable, with slightly improved space availability. West Africa: Multiple COSCO vessels are expected to be blank next week, and freight rates are expected to remain stable. MSC vessels are significantly delayed. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
  6. Latin America Vessels in Latin America have been experiencing significant delays recently, leading to relatively chaotic sailing schedules. Prices are expected to continue to rise slightly in South America, West Mexico, and Central America. Space needs to be confirmed with actual bookings. Caribbean prices are likely to remain stable, while prices in East South America will continue to decline. If you require cargo from shipping companies, please actively communicate with them. We recommend shipping by CCA.
