Week 31 Summary of route trends about Tianjin Safround Logistics

2025.07.31

Freight rates on the North American and Canadian routes continue to decline and are expected to remain in effect until August. All routes are open for orders, primarily for large-volume cargoes. Large-volume cargoes can be negotiated individually.

Freight rates on the European route remain in effect for the first half of August. Some shipping lines have already lowered their rates, and rates on the Mediterranean continue to fall. Market demand is increasing as August approaches. Those with multiple containers are encouraged to apply for freight rates. Space will remain tight in early August, with some containers being abandoned. However, there are no significant container shortages in the near future. Late departures are common, and congestion at destination ports remains.

Due to several blank sailings in early August, capacity reductions have occurred on Middle East routes, putting the brakes on the previously slumping market. Middle East freight rates will rise next week, and smaller shipowners will be facing capacity shortages. Therefore, early bookings are recommended. With one less vessel on the Red Sea route next week, freight rates are expected to remain stable or increase slightly. Please discuss specific market conditions.

Freight rates in the India-Pakistan market are generally declining in early August. This is primarily for incoming orders, so please apply for large invoices. Prices on Bangladesh routes have decreased in early August, with textiles being a priority. Please book your space early.

Southeast Asia routes are currently focused on cargo orders next week. All routes are open for cargo, especially large shipments, which can be requested individually. Prices on the Australia and New Zealand routes are expected to increase in the first half of the month, resulting in tight shipping space. Please arrange cargo early if you have cargo.

Africa Route: Due to increased cargo volume in East Africa at the end of July and a significant number of container abandonments by shipping companies, market space conditions will not be ideal in early August. Freight rate trends are unclear, so please verify shipments. South African freight rates will decline for some shipping companies in early August. ONE, MSC, and MSK are expected to remain high, while EMC will only accept light cargoes. West African freight rates will continue to decline in early August, and shipping space is sufficient. Please actively contact us to arrange cargo. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Latin America Route Shipping capacity in West Mexico and Central America will be reduced in early August, and prices are expected to rise significantly. Following a wave of price drops in the Caribbean at the end of July, shipping companies are experiencing severe inventory shortages, and prices are expected to rise sharply in early August. Prices in East South America continued to fall at the end of July, but shipping companies are still not receiving satisfactory cargo, and prices are expected to fall further in early August. Please contact us if you have any inquiries. We recommend shipping by CCA.
